I honestly don’t think my mood would be where it is had I not found this song in my liked songs today. It’s just one of those things that makes me feel closer to that innocent, care-free state that so many kids are taught to forget by a certain age. This said, here are my latest musings.

Mood: Better than I was for most of the day… Does that count?
Song of the day:

First, I’d like to just say that this song hit me right out of the blue, as many of the stuff I find does. I’ll often add something to my liked songs on complete instinct as I browse Spotify’s curated playlists, only to forget about it not very long after. When I put my liked songs on shuffle at some other point in time, I get all kinds of great things coming in at me, many of which invoke or are reminders of emotions and messages at just the right moment.

Well, here we are again. It’s been just about five months since my last entry. Many of the people who I’ve been in contact with already know a fair bit about what has happened over this amount of time, so I haven’t really felt a huge imperative to write up here. I’m at a particular point in my life, however, that I feel could be talked about within what I consider my more public sphere (not counting my Twitter things, of course). So, as best as I am able, it’s down to business.

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I began the Elysium Project, and here I am writing my first official blog post. There has been so much going on (both externally and internally) that it has been difficult for a number of reasons to even begin writing my thoughts down, let alone publish them anywhere. I can safely and confidently tell you, however, that this endeavor has not been abandoned.
