I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I began the Elysium Project, and here I am writing my first official blog post. There has been so much going on (both externally and internally) that it has been difficult for a number of reasons to even begin writing my thoughts down, let alone publish them anywhere. I can safely and confidently tell you, however, that this endeavor has not been abandoned.
As noted on my homepage, Elysium itself is a rather large concept that encompasses a number of different ideas. This website is one of those facets. The Project itself has actually been ongoing since its fruition earlier this year, even longer if you count the time before I essentially gave my life’s journey a title. Translation: The Elysium Project isn’t just a website, so anyone (okay, mostly my brain) insisting I haven’t done anything with it can shove right off with that noise.
So, with all that out of the way, I’ve decided that even though there are some aspects of this website that need working on, those aspects are not a reason for me to not post content should I be so inclined. I realize that anyone who has a pair of functioning eyeballs (I don’t but who cares?) is more than likely going to find the lack of visual elements rather unpleasant, bland, boring, etc. The thing is that while I do understand that, I’m not going to get anything out for interested readers if I get stuck worrying about visual perfection. That being said, I will tell any sighted folks who happen to be making their way through this website that I will get that sorted in time. I just need to find somebody I trust. In the meantime, why should I delay posting things? I shouldn’t. So, here we are.
While I don’t feel comfortable enough to say that I’ll be posting every day (or every week for that matter), I can safely say that I’ll be posting more often than I have over the past age and a half. While that’s not saying much, I’ve come to the conclusion that I won’t always have to say much in general. Who besides my inner critic says I need to write huge walls of text like this all the time for it to be considered entertaining?

It’s been wonderful to be a support for you over the past four years. Can’t believe it’s almost been five. Keep going, I’m not leaving over a lack of visuals. Love what you <3
